  • Family leaves for vacation in limousine

  • Construction prep
  • Furniture move-out; clothes sent to dry cleaner

Day 2 Wednesday, July 15 – NO SPECTATORS

  • Disconnect untilities
  • Demolition of home

Day 3 Thursday, July 16 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • Foundation
  • Framing
  • Mechanical Rough-in

Day 4 Friday, July 17 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • Roofing
  • Finish Rough-in
  • Start exterior work

Day 5 Saturday, July 18 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • Install flooring
  • Millwork
  • Cabinetry
  • Paint

Day 6 Sunday, July 19 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • Paint
  • Install countertops
  • Finish mechanical
  • Landscaping

Day 7 Monday, July 20 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • Millstone Custom Homes turns keys over to "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"
  • Designers move in furniture and decorating begins
  • Exterior and interior are cleaned in preparation for Reveal Day

Day 8 Tuesday, July 21 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • MOVE THAT BUS!
    • Spectators are highly welcomed and encouraged all day today. If you want to get a good view and witness the famous "MOVE THAT BUS!" when the family arrives and the design team welcomes them into their new home, you need to arrive early.
    • Early arrival time is encouraged for spectators who want to be part of "MOVE THE BUS!" Don't forget your positive signs welcoming the family home. Please keep in mind that this day will be long period of standing, so please plan accordingly.
    • Later this day join thousands of supporters as Ty Pennington and the design crew welcome the family home. MEDIA AND COMMUNITY ARE WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED! Be on site to witness the now famous "MOVE THAT BUS!" when the family sees their new home for the first time! PLEASE NOTE: Time is subject to change.

Day 9 Wednesday, July 22 – SPECTATORS WELCOME!

  • 4:30 p.m. – Family/builder press conference – First interview with the family after they see their house – at this time gifts will be presented to the family from community donations. PLEASE NOTE: Time is based on reveal schedule and is tentative.

Day 10 Thursday, July 23 – NO SPECTATORS

  • Punch list
  • Finalize clean up
